Murcof: “Cosmos II” (Cosmos, Leaf 2007)

The heart of Murcof’s Cosmos album is in the two parts sharing its name. Eschewing the beats and sampling that had established his signature sound by this point, “Cosmos II” is a swelling, celestial cloud of sound that threatens to swallow everything in sight, as utterly cosmic as its name suggests.
