Eleh: “Observation Wheel” (Location Momentum, Touch 2010)

Reliable, undulating, minimal drones from Eleh — good stuff. Turn it up on headphones and you can really hear the way the stereo signal expands over time blowing wider and wider in the final moments. It’s something I’ve been playing with in my own recent minimal pieces, using the same held tones or sounds, but changing their spatial relationship within the stereo spectrum over time.
