Low: “Words” (I Could Live In Hope, Vernon Yard 1994)

This first song on Low’s first album was a definite highlight of their recent Portland performance at the Doug Fir Lounge. While their last several albums feel like a band searching to find themselves anew, they continually impress me with their willingness to embrace new sounds and approaches to their music.
