James Blake: “If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead” (2018)

James Blake’s latest is a cool hybrid of his more cut-up, weirder tunes like 2010′s CMYK and his more song-based albums that followed. His fragmented, stuttering, and manipulated vocal phrases eventually yield to a more languid, more casual vocal from him in its final half. Looking very much forward to hearing more!
