Trentemøller: “River In Me” (Fixion, In My Room 2016)

Trentemøller’s Fixion flew under the Ear Influxion radar when it came out, but it eventually ended up on our Best of 2016 list toward the top. His expanded band format and assimilation of all things chilly and cool from the early 80s (definite shades of The Cure, New Order, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Depeche Mode) really lend themselves to the stage; they just gave a fantastic performance in Portland at the Wonder Ballroom.
