Ryuichi Sakamoto: “Thatness and Thereness” (B-2 Unit, 1980)

Charles from AngelTheory turned me on to this old Sakamoto record, and I find this track totally irresistible. It brings to mind the unusual cadence and storytelling of classic Legendary Pink Dots or Edward Ka-Spel — I’d never considered them such kindred spirits, but they move me in similarly disorienting ways.
