Jamie Lidell: “Said Dram Scam” (Muddlin Gear, Warp 2000)

Years before Jamie Lidell fully remade himself as a soul singer, he made some pretty strange techno and then this sprawling opus of oddness, Muddlin Gear. It’s a truly fascinating listen, especially compared to how conventional his music is these days (though his live shows offer glimpses into his madness). Sadly, I lost my CD years ago and it seems impossible to find digitally. Any readers want to brighten my day with a download?
