Matthew Mercer: “Polaris” (Nebulae, 2017)

Here’s one of the darker ones from Nebulae, one of my two new albums released earlier this month on Bandcamp and most digital music services. I’ve given a lot of listening time to JK Flesh’s Rise Above in the last year and while I wasn’t willing to overload the mix with distortion in the same way, much of Nebulae was inspired by the hypnotic repetition of those grooves.
