Uusitalo: “Tohtori Kuka” (Karhunainen, Huume 2007)

Ten years old already?? It’s hard to believe, but that’s when Sasu Ripatti last donned his Uusitalo moniker to release a full-length album, and Karhunainen is one of his finer efforts. It bridges the more experimental edges of his primary Vladislav Delay project, the dance music accessibility of his house project Luomo, and the more minimal, severe techno of Sistol.
