Phonem: “Bioluminscense” (Cottage Industries, Neo Ouija 2000)

The leading track on Neo Ouija’s excellent first installment of its Cottage Industries series might be one of my favorite IDM tracks ever. It has some of his usual post-Autechre crunchy beatmaking, but its elegance and restraint are gorgeous.
