Paperclip People: “The Climax (PCP Version)” (The Secret Tapes of Dr. Eich, Planet E 1996)

Carl Craig’s project as Paperclip People is something I nearly completely missed, having overlooked it as I’ve explored the annals of techno after the fact (at the time I was still mainly listening to industrial music). So it’s better to have discovered this album late than never, with this digital reissue from last year. It’s a solid one from start to finish, but it’s all about that chunky house loop that drops in halfway through.
