Marcel Dettmann & Ben Klock: “Dawning” (Ostgut-Ton, 2006)

I completely missed this one when it came out, so I purchased a copy recently. It’s nice to hear a tinge of melody and musicality from this collaboration; often Dettmann tends to be somewhat severe, which I enjoy as well, but the lushness here suggests something closer to the Dial camp (Lawrence, Pantha Du Prince) — no complaints from me!
