Jarvis: Moonraker (Cable Recordings)

Two tracks of crisp tech house from Jarvis… there’s something immediately familiar about “Moonraker” with its clipped samples, syncopation, and big room chord stabs, but it all works quite well for me. Its white noise rushes are a nice touch, sure to get a floor going. But the real standout here is “Sidewinder” with more of a rolling groove and a synth/vocal stab that, when paired with an ascending swell of synths, looms with a cosmic flair.
