Morgan Packard: “Although” (Moment Again Elsewhere, Anticipate 2010)

Fear not, more reviews and updates are on the way… sometimes I just need to recharge a bit. Not that there’s any shortcoming of new music that’s pricked up my ears. But for now, this throwback to Morgan Packard’s last full-length which I somehow missed the year of its release. I was busy making my own piano-based album while Morgan crafted this sublime opus of intimate, often piano-centered IDM tracks. The end results of his work compared to mine are quite different, with his veering more into the mid-tempo groove of To Rococo Rot, but in my opinion with way more appeal.
