Donor/Truss: Endo (Perc Trax)
Perc’s label is pretty no-nonsense when it comes to dark, minimal techno. Even the artwork is stripped down, just handwritten artist/title/catalog number, almost white label style. The music within is to the point as well — Donor & Truss aren’t messing around here. There is a nice trajectory to these four tracks, starting off with “Endo 1”’s droning murmur but steadily increasing into something far more aggressive and industrial warehouse. My favorite is “Endo 3” with its crisp claps and reverberated, mangled bass throbs.
