SPK: “Day of the Pigs” (Leichenschrei, Mute 1982)

Leichenschrei is probably my favorite SPK release from their incredibly varied and uneven discography. It’s the album that is perhaps the most outright “industrial” of theirs, when Brian Williams (Lustmord) joined the ranks. Scary sounds for the Halloween season… it’s hard to believe that just a few years later they released such a tepid synth-pop album with a new line-up.
