Pan•American: “Code” (360 Business / 360 Bypass, Kranky 1999)

Mark Nelson of Labradford’s second album as Pan•American is even dubbier and more removed from the Labradford palette of sound than the debut. Even though this is ostensibly the most pop moment of the album (or maybe even his whole run as P•A), I love this song. Mimi and Alan from Low perform vocal duties, and it’s truly gorgeous.
