Arovane: “Failed” (Atol Scrap, Din 2000)

Each of Arovane’s albums sounds a bit different from the next, but Atol Scrap will always be one of my favorites if only because it was the first one I heard. Its spacey chilliness and mix of angular beatmaking with more downtempo, spacious ambience is strong, rivaled only by the same year’s Tides as my favorite of his backcatalogue.
