Bnjmn: Second Kiss (Stolen Kisses)

Bnjmn is unstoppable, with loads of new tracks in the last year or so. “Nightvision” is one of the more recent ones, and it’s a jaunty track with a nice hefty kick underscored by undulating sub-bass rolls. It’s much more immediately fun than some of his other material can be, but the real gem here is the slo-mo remix by Andy Stott. Much like his recent series of EPs, Stott takes Bnjmn’s source material and slows it down, letting it take its time with a warm, murky groove underpinning it all. His treatment metamorphoses the spry original into something more haunting and seductive. Both versions are fabulous, two talents working together as unlikely but fascinating complements to one another.
