The Legendary Pink Dots: “Rainbows Too?” (Plutonium Blonde, ROIR 2008)

This is one LPD album I haven’t really heard, but stumbling onto this clip, now I know I need to. It’s always been a bit sad how Edward Ka-Spel, the Silver Man & co. have lingered in obscurity all these years, having put out at least one album a year since the early 80s. I do think that like many artists starting out around the same time, some of their most vibrant and varied work happened in the 80s, but they’ve continued to evolve and surprise. Most of the 90s material is just as compelling and unpredictable. I haven’t kept up lately, but this track reminds me that I’d be better off having done so!
